As long as I can remember I have had a passion for drawing and painting. It wasn't until I was in my late twenties that I began to seriously consider art as a career. I worked in the corporate world but I was accepting commissions on the side and it was then that I realized that painting is what I was meant to do. With the encouragement of my husband, I quit my job and started painting full time. Early in my career, I painted murals and slowly moved into still lifes and portraits. I've studied with wonderful artists over the years but the one I owe most of my knowledge is Timothy Tyler. He encouraged me to study the works of Sargent and Bouguereau and encouraged me to paint every day from life. I am still learning from him to this day and I'm forever grateful for his guidance.
I have paintings hanging in the ABF corporate offices as well as the homes of several VIP's from that company. I designed and painted the images for the ABF Christmas card three years in a row and have dozens of murals and paintings in homes and businesses around Northwest Arkansas. I am currently focusing my energy on still life and portraiture.
I currently live in Fayetteville, AR with my husband, Keith and three children, Emma, Zack and Gabe.
